The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, in partnership with DocuPet, offers a hassle-free dog registration system for the Town of Truckee. Dog owners can enjoy this user-friendly platform to register their furry friends at https://hstt.docupet.com/en_US/.
Here’s what you need to know:
- All dogs must be licensed and vaccinated against rabies to keep our community safe.
- Every license tag includes DocuPet’s free HomeSafe ® 24/7 Lost Pet Service and includes a unique code linked to your pet’s secure profile, making it easy for finders to contact the 24/7 dispatch team for quick reunions.
- Choose from hundreds of colorful DocuPet designer tag styles or design your own! You can add your pet’s name and phone number to the back for a small fee.
- This new system makes it easier than ever to update your pup’s profile, reunite lost pets, and ensure your furry family member stays safe and identified.
Effective 11.1.2025 – Licensing fees
- Altered dog 1-year: $17
- Altered dog 2-year: $34
- Altered dog 3-year: $51
- Unaltered dog 1-year: $32
- Unaltered dog 2-year: $64
- Unaltered dog 3-year: $96
- Late fee: $17
- Duplicate/Replacement Tag: $3
A current rabies vaccination certificate is required to obtain the license.
