Nicole Hilton

Shelter Volunteer Programs Coordinator

Nicole Hilton is the Shelter Volunteer Programs Coordinator here at HSTT. After working in the restaurant industry for nearly 15 years, Nicole was ready for something more meaningful and jumped at the opportunity to help serve the smaller and fluffier members of the community. Not surprisingly, Nicole has found that helping animals find their forever homes makes her feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Originally from Maine, Nicole went to Ithaca College where she earned her B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications. She then used her degree to become a ski bum in Alta, Utah where she and her partner, Cody, met. After 5 years of Utah winters and Tahoe summers, the pair settled in Truckee full-time.  Together, they adopted their dog, Greeley, from HSTT in 2019, and have enjoyed watching him grow into an 85lb snow-loving goober. Nicole, Cody & Greeley live a “casually-adventurous” lifestyle skiing, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors.
