HSTT’s 2024 Giving Tuesday campaign aims to spread love and camaraderie!

Inspired by the Grateful Dead’s eclectic music and loving spirit, HSTT’s campaign features pets named for the Dead’s most iconic songs and beloved characters. Like the Grateful Dead, we hope our campaign can span generational and political gaps and unite us over our love of animals and our desire to help those who love us unconditionally.

Our campaign features ten adoptable pets, including two moms with eight puppies between them. They will all be available at the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, at 10:00 a.m.

The adoption process will be on a first-come, first-served basis, Tuesday, December 3rd, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Truckee Animal Shelter upon approval of the Adoption Questionnaire. Although it won’t secure you a spot in line, you can complete the adoption questionnaire in advance here.  All pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and altered. The adoption fee for puppies (4 months and under) is $200 and for Dogs (5 months and older) = $150.00

We apologize in advance that everyone seeking to adopt a Giving Tuesday pet may not be able to, as we have a limited number. We rescue puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats throughout the year, so there will be future opportunities to adopt a great pet.
