HSTT’s 2023 Giving Tuesday on November 28th is celebrating the natural beauty of the Sierras.

Adoptable puppies, Aloha, Donner, Watson, and Spooner (photos below) are all named for the small alpine lakes surrounding Lake Tahoe. Their names are appropriate as they’ve spent their first few weeks surrounding their loving mom, adoptable dog, Tahoe. Plus, they’re all quite small.

Puppies, Sugar Pine, Aspen, Cedar, and Maple honor the trees that make our home gorgeous. And adorable adult dog, Shirley, celebrates the popular canyon and lake we all enjoy. All ten of these pets will be available for adoption at the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28th at 10:00 am.

Here’s how to get involved in HSTT’s 2023 Giving Tuesday Campaign, helping homeless pets in our community and beyond…

ADOPT! SAVING A LITTLE LIFE IS THE BEST WAY TO SPREAD THE JOY ON THIS GIVING TUESDAY

See all our adorable adoptable Giving Tuesday pets below.

The adoption process will be first served on Tuesday, November 28th starting at 10:00 am at the Truckee Animal Shelter upon approval of the Adoption Questionnaire. All pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and altered. The adoption fee for puppies (4 months and under) is $200. The adoption fee for adult dogs (5 months and older) is $150.00.

We apologize in advance that everyone seeking to adopt a Giving Tuesday pet may not be able to, as we have a limited number. We rescue puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats throughout the year, so there will be future opportunities to adopt a great pet.

DOUBLE YOUR DONATION RIGHT HERE!

To help us raise much-needed funding, a generous donor is offering $100,000 in matching funds for all donations made on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28th. That’s right! Every dollar will be matched dollar-for-dollar, having TWICE the lifesaving impact.

CELEBRATE!

The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe’s intention on Giving Tuesday, and every other day of the year, is to make the world a better place for pets and people. The only way we can accomplish this lofty goal is through the generosity of our donors, the kindness of our adopters and volunteers, and the support of our animal-loving community.

MEET TAHOE AND HER PUPS

Tahoe, Aloha, and Donner are female. Watson and Spooner are male.

Tahoe and her pups are long-haired miniature dachshunds. For more information, email givingtuesday@hstt.org.

MEET THE TREE PUPS

Sugar Pine and Maple are female. Cedar and Aspen are male.

The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe doesn’t have information on these pups’ parents, but based on the pups’ current size, we expect them to be medium-sized when fully grown. For more information, email givingtuesday@hstt.org.

MEET SHIRLEY

Shirley is female.

The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe doesn’t know what type of dog Shirley is, so they’re calling her a Holidoodle to honor this festive holiday season. For information, email givingtuesday@hstt.org.
