Butterscotch's Story
Meet Butterscotch, affectionately known as Butters or BB. This sweet little girl is a gentle soul who is looking for a patient person to help her feel safe and secure. She really wants to be near her people, even though she can be unsure about new situations. Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys settling in for some quiet time with her person and may even curl up in a lap for a cozy snuggle. She also loves mealtime and is happy to let you know when she thinks it’s time to eat!
Butterscotch will need a patient adopter who understands that she will need time to settle in and who will respect her boundaries and ease her into daily life slowly and carefully. She’ll do best in a quiet, consistent home where she will be given the time and space she needs to develop confidence and trust in the world around her. New people, animals, places, and experiences should be introduced slowly and positively and at her own pace.
Butterscotch is a special girl, and finding the right home for her is especially important. We will be looking for an adopter who understands her needs and is willing to give her the time, patience, and consistency she needs to feel safe and begin to blossom. Because Butterscotch needs an especially quiet home, we will not adopt her to families with children under 6.
Butterscotch will be available tomorrow, Friday, at 1pm. We will have a sign up sheet on the door. Please note that we will be looking for the right fit for Butterscotch to set her up for success; as such, only potential adopters who fit all of the criteria for welcoming Butterscotch into their home will be considered. We will meet with potential adopters in the order in which they arrive. You must stay on the premises once you put your name on the sign up sheet, otherwise you will lose your place in line.
Butterscotch is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150. Please email adoptions@hstt.org for more information.
