Miriam has always been passionate about animals and is currently one of the caretakers at the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, where she helps care for and support animals in need. While doing this, she is also working toward her associate’s degree in Business Administration. Balancing both, Miriam feels that it allows her to develop skills that will help her make an even greater impact at the shelter and in her future endeavors, all while doing work she truly loves. She is a local, born and raised in Truckee, and a proud graduate of Truckee High School. Miriam is very family-oriented and loves spending time with her pets, Pepe and Benji. They remind her every day of the importance of love and care for all animals, and she’s proud to serve her community in this way.
