Michelle is originally from Chile and moved to Truckee two years ago, drawn by the mountains, the strong sense of community, and a desire to make a meaningful change in her career. She holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Organizational Management, but felt called to take a new path, one focused on helping others and giving back to the community.

Her love for animals has always been a big part of who she is, and joining the HSTT team felt like a natural next step. Michelle loves helping adopters through the adoption process and being part of a team that brings people and animals together in such meaningful ways.

Originally visiting Truckee in 2019, Michelle fell in love with the area and made the move permanent in 2023 to build a life with her husband, Gage. Together, they share their home with their dog Elvis and two cats, Kiki and Dobby, whom Michelle adopted from HSTT. When she’s not at work, she enjoys staying active with yoga and Pilates, snowboarding in the winter, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and their dog.
