Jennaka has lived in Truckee for six years and loves the nature and community of this town. With a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Santa Barbara, California, she cares deeply about being a part of a team that has a positive impact on the environment, people, and animals. She is thrilled to be a part of the HSTT team by working as a Thrift Store Associate at the Thrifty Tails Boutique.

Growing up in Santa Barbara, California, her family adopted cats but it wasn’t until they moved to Costa Rica that they began fostering animals. She’s volunteered by helping a baby opossum, an injured squirrel, a turtle, three-legged animals, and a handful of dogs and cats. She’ll never forget the time she found two abandoned kittens in a tree stump and proceeded to take them home and adopt them.

During her time off, she enjoys sewing, cooking, trail running, and jumping in lakes. She lives with her boyfriend Greg, and their dog Finn, who was adopted from HSTT 11 years ago.
