Originally from London, UK, Gen moved to Sonoma County, California during grade school. Raised with a deep respect for animals and nature, she developed a lifelong passion for animal welfare, which was shaped early on by her parents’ advocacy for dolphin rights and her own experiences growing up in rural Sonoma County. Extensive childhood travel further enriched her appreciation for wildlife and diverse cultures around the world.

Gen holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and is a certified Pilates instructor. She is passionate about helping animals find loving homes and supporting them while they wait to be adopted. When she is not working at HSTT, Gen teaches Pilates and movement education. She values working in fields that are both meaningful and rewarding.

In her free time, Gen enjoys being outdoors with her HSTT alumni pup, Ayla, riding her Harley, practicing Pilates, swimming, snowboarding, and camping off the beaten path.
