Emily is a caretaker at HSTT, having previously worked as a shelter caretaker for the Town of Truckee. Although she has spent some time working with wildlife, her background is mostly in agriculture, specializing in livestock. Emily will gladly talk your ear off about how amazing cows are anytime, but she is also enjoying the opportunity to work with “small” animals for a change!

Originating from the East Coast, Emily finally followed the rest of her family to northern California in 2022. Although her dog, Bean, still misses the freedom of having an entire farm to herself, they are taking full advantage of the many ski trails, lakes, and hiking in the area to keep her entertained!
