Dr. Kristin Haitz

Veterinarian

Dr. Kristin Haitz was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She knew at the age of 5 that she wanted to become a veterinarian and started to fulfill that dream through 4-H.

Dr. Haitz obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at UC Davis. After graduating she packed a bag and flew to a glacier in Alaska where she helped train Iditarod Sled Dogs. Following her adventure up north, she returned to UC Davis and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Shortly after graduation, she completed a small animal internship at the Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center.

Her professional interests include preventative and shelter medicine.  In her spare time, you can find Dr. Haitz with her husband and their dogs in the mountains or at the Lake. She also is a Guide Dogs for the Blind Puppy Raiser and can often be found with a cute Labrador puppy!
