HSTT’s 2024 Spring Giving Tuesday on May 14th is celebrating love and friendship!
Just as Taylor Swift’s sensationally popular Eras Tour has spread love and friendship worldwide, the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe’s Spring Giving Tuesday campaign aspires to do the same—well, maybe not worldwide, but far and wide! We will have fifteen adoptable puppies and kittens, all available at the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe on Giving Tuesday, May 14th, at 10:00 a.m.

The adoption process will be on a first come, first served basis, Tuesday, May 14th, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Truckee Animal Shelter upon approval of the Adoption Questionnaire. Although it won’t secure you a spot in line, you can complete the adoption questionnaire, in advance, here. All pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and altered. The adoption fee for puppies (4 months and under) is $200, and for kittens (4 months and under), it is $100.
We apologize in advance that everyone seeking to adopt a Giving Tuesday pet may not be able to, as we have a limited number. We rescue puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats throughout the year, so there will be future opportunities to adopt a great pet.
DONATE! You can help TWICE as many pets by donating on May 14th.
To help us raise much-needed funding, a generous donor is offering $75,000 in matching funds for all donations made on Giving Tuesday, May 14th. That’s right! Every dollar will be matched dollar-for-dollar, having TWICE the lifesaving impact.

Juliet, Willow, Marjorie, and Betty are female. Romeo and James are male.
HSTT doesn’t have information on the parents of the Eras Tour puppies, but based on the pups’ current size, our best guess is they will be medium/large-sized when fully grown. For information, email [email protected].
