Sarah is a born and raised Truckee local. Growing up in our mountainous, animal-loving community, strong values of environmental stewardship and animal welfare were instilled in her from a young age. She earned a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies & Planning from Sonoma State University in 2019. Following graduation, she worked with HSTT as an Adoptions & Customer Service Specialist from 2019-2021 where she adopted her beloved sidekick Koa, an American Staffordshire Terrier Mix. Now, she’s come back to us as the General Manager of our Thrifty Tails Boutique. She’s been an avid thrifter for most of her life and has an eye for all things funky, vintage, and collectible. Find her in the shop working hard to supply our town with affordable, secondhand clothing as well as one-of-a-kind finds!
