Finance Director

Julie brings a unique blend of financial expertise and a deep-rooted passion for animal welfare to the role of Finance Director at the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe. With 24 years of experience in bookkeeping and finance management and a steadfast commitment to making a difference in the lives of animals, Julie is poised to drive strategic financial initiatives that will support the organization’s mission and long-term sustainability.

Prior to joining the Humane Society, Julie held key finance leadership positions in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, where she honed her skills in bookkeeping, budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

Driven by a deep-seated love for animals, Julie is thrilled to merge her professional expertise with her personal passion in her new role. She believes that sound financial management is instrumental in advancing the Humane Society’s mission of saving and improving the lives of pets through adoption, community spay/neuter, and humane education programs.

As Finance Director, Julie is committed to fostering transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility across all aspects of the organization’s operations. She will work closely with the executive team and board members to develop and execute financial strategies that support the Humane Society’s programs, initiatives, and growth objectives.

In her free time, Julie enjoys hiking, backpacking, and camping with her rescue dog Stella, and also snowboarding and wake surfing. Julie is excited to embark on this journey with the Humane Society and looks forward to leveraging her expertise to make a meaningful impact on the lives of animals and those who advocate for them.
