World Spay Day 2020

Tuesday, February 25, 2020 (All day)

Baby Momma Drama got you down? Ready to be a life-saver?

Join us for Spay/Neuter Awareness month all February long, in observance of World Spay Day on February 25th, 2020!

Spaying and neutering is the most effective and humane means of decreasing the euthanasia of homeless animals in shelters.

The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, Town of Truckee, and Local Veterinarians in Truckee and the Lake Tahoe Basin have teamed up to provide FREE SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES to qualifying cats or dogs within our community for WORLD SPAY DAY! Spaying or neutering your pet can be the single best decision you make for his or her long-term welfare!

To participate please fill out an online application. Alternatively, you may download the World Spay Day Application Form and return it to HSTT with vaccination records by mail or in person. Or, you can also come by the shelter located at 10961 Stevens Lane in Truckee with your pet’s vaccination records to sign up.

Spots are limited - don’t wait!

Already spayed or neutered your pet, and still want to participate in this life-saving event?  Help us by sponsoring a spay or neuter surgery and by spreading the word! Encourage your friends and family members to have their animals spayed or neutered to help already living animals find their loving forever homes! Every life is worth saving, and every effort counts.

We’d like to thank Alpine Animal Hospital, Burton Creek Veterinary Clinic, Doctors Office for Pets, Donner Truckee Veterinary Hospital, Sierra Pet Clinic and Town of Truckee for participating in this worthy cause by generously donating free surgeries to the community!
