2019 Adult Spring Speakers Series

We are happy to announce a great lineup of speakers for high school students and adults.

The purpose of the adult speaker series is to help give our high school and adult community members more information on animal welfare topics. We simply ask for a $10.00 (optional) donation to attend. Check them out and join us!

Joanna Moritz - Owner of Fur and Feather Works
Tuesday, March 19th - 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Back by popular demand, Joanna Moritz is a professional trainer specializing in dog, cat and parrot training. Her captivating presentation on cat behavior and cat training will take place March 19th (next Tuesday) from 5-6:30pm here at HSTT in our education and training room. Joanna will be giving us in-depth info into the cat psyche as well as a live demonstration on how to clicker train a cat! If you haven’t seen this before, it’s quite impressive. There’s very limited space in all of our speaker series so please make sure to RSVP so we can save you a spot.

Erin Kramer - Owner of TUGG Dogs
Tuesday, April 9th - 4:30 - 6:30 pm

Erin Kramer is a professionally certified dog trainer, has worked as a trainer's instructor internationally and has developed her own trainer's academy for those wanting to work professionally with dogs. Erin is also an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator, both a service and therapy dog evaluator, has trained and handled dogs for both TV and film, has supplied working K9's for police and personal protection, has won obedience training competitions, and has testified in numerous court cases as a canine behavior and aggression specialist. Most importantly, Erin is an avid dog lover with a thoughtful approach to working with each client she meets (human and dog) and her talent in dog training has made her a leading resource for shelters and rescue organizations all over the West Coast.

Erin will be teaching attendees about how to build cooperation with your dog so he or she will listen to you, understanding your dog's point of view and language, the role of calmness in dog training and fun games that will help improve your dog's behavior.
